The distillation column of sieve plate distillation experimental equipment is introduced

The column body of the rectifying tower in the sieve plate rectifying experimental device is called the rectifying column. If the packing column is used, the irregular packing is piled in the column, so that the gas-liquid two phases can achieve good mass transfer. The height of packing layer is the effective separation length of distillation column. In order to eliminate the phenomenon of flow avoidance and communication, the packing layer may be divided into multiple sections, and the reflux liquid in each column section may be collected and redistributed to the center of the column.

For processes requiring adiabatic rectification, the packing column can be made into a vacuum jacket for insulation. The size of the distillation column is determined according to the amount of material treated and the required separation efficiency. The diameters of 700MM, 1000MM and 1300MM are commonly used in experiments. Column height is limited between 500MM and 1500MM.

There are many factors affecting the separation capacity of sieve plate distillation apparatus, among which the effect of filling in column is especially important. In a certain height of the packing layer, the total surface area of the packing is related to the type, specification, material and filling method of the packing, which affects the thickness, pressure drop and separation efficiency of the liquid film. Generally, the packing size should be less than 1/10 of the column diameter, and the ratio of the column diameter to the packing size should be kept at 10:1 to 12:1. There are a lot of highly efficient packing varieties, such as stainless steel θ ring packing and stainless steel triangle spiral packing, the selected packing should be able to maintain the appropriate amount of liquid, so that the liquid can fully wet the packing, to ensure that the full contact of steam and liquid exchange, which is related to the surface of the packing and the wettability of the packing. The separation efficiency of packing is usually expressed by equal plate height
